Journey of Leadership & Achievement

Throughout my professional journey, I have amassed extensive experience in both the education and corporate sectors. As the Head of School at KLIS International School of Chongqing Bashu since 2019, I have achieved remarkable accomplishments. Under my leadership, KLIS earned the prestigious title of Top 100 International Schools of China in Forbes China’s inaugural ranking, outshining over a thousand schools. I spearheaded the development of a process and project management structure that successfully led the school staff through the Cognia school accreditation process, resulting in accreditation being awarded in June 2021.

At KLIS, I introduced a new standards-based instructional design process encompassing curriculum frameworks for all core subjects from Kindergarten through Grade 12. This data-driven and personalized approach enhances the learning experience for each student. Additionally, I implemented outcome-based pacing and planning, leveraging 21st century technology tools and emphasizing literacy across all content areas.

During my tenure as Principal at Hopewell  High School, I achieved significant milestones, including establishing North Carolina’s first Cambridge International High School Program. My comprehensive budget and implementation plan for this program, along with a PBIS system, earned accolades, such as recognition as a Green Ribbon School and a School of Distinction by NCDPI.

Prior to my career in education, I worked at Intel Corporation, where I honed my expertise in process engineering, project management, and quality control. My multifaceted background has allowed me to foster success in diverse environments, and my dedication to continuous improvemnt remains steadfast.
